G73JH-A1 WIndows 10 Clean install - A Media driver your computer needs is missing. I've run into an odd problem when trying to clean install Windows 10 64-Bit on my G73JH-A1 using a USB Flash Drive and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I can boot the G73JH-A1 from my USB Flash Drive that was created by the Media Creation tool located at: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft.load/windows10. I have this problem too, and finally I find a solution to fix it.

I'm trying to install Windows 10. I created a bootable USB stick (from MAC) and at the beginning of the installation, Windows state that a media driver is missing (DVD/USB) and that I need to insert it. No other specification. I went through the driver download proposal for this NUC model, and I can't find it. 1) Download and install Driver Easy. 2) Run Driver Easy and click the Scan Now button. Driver Easy will then scan your computer and detect any problem drivers. 3) Click the Update button next to a flagged driver to automatically download and install the correct version of this driver (you can do this with the FREE version).

At this stage, remove your USB stick, then plug it into another USB port.

It will redetect the USB stick and install normally.'


Sounds stupid right ? But it works.


Hope this will save some guys that have the same problems.
